Electronic Invitations – email sent out to participants providing event scheduling details.
Video Narrator– guides you step by step throughout the game, including explaining the rules, timing the meetings and tabulating the votes.
Scene Diagram – layout of character positions in the Smart Chips lounge around the time of the murder.
Cast of Characters – lists background information for each character and allows the use of each player’s personal photo for character identification.
Victim’s Plea – video featuring the murder victim as game players hear their perspective and an impassioned plea for justice.
General Knowledge – video presentation detailing the storyline, including the events that occurred the night of the murder.
Special Knowledge – a confidential document for each character explaining their observations and knowledge about other characters.
Voting Ballots – electronically distributed to each participant at the end of each round so they can elect whether or not to accuse another character of being the murderer.
Game Clues – electronically distributed to participants throughout the game, each representing an absolute truth that can be relied upon to help them solve the crime.

Welcome to A Killer Technology, Mystery Enterprise’s game of intrigue, secrets, and deception! We provide our players with a full package of online tools to digitally disseminate character insights and situational clues, and to direct players to meet and vote throughout the game. Your goal is simple: talk to other players and convince them that you are innocent, while at the same time you gather information to find the murderer. But be careful…the murderer among you will be trying to spread misinformation!

Here’s an overview of the main aspects of the A Killer Technology murder mystery game:

1. Gather Your Participants

The A Killer Technology standard package requires at least 8 players, and the expanded package requires a minimum of 10 players. Our system will send automated email invitations to prospective participants, ensuring you have firm commitments to attend. Each participant will be required to have internet access through a phone, tablet or computer.

2. Understand the Story

A Killer Technology has a unique and detailed storyline. To understand the story, each player will be given access to three documents:

Cast of Characters- lists the characters in the story, including general background information on each character
General Knowledge- provides information that all characters know about the events that happened around the time of the murder.
Special Knowledge- explains information that is specific to each character. It gives additional details about your character and knowledge about other characters from your perspective.

3. Conduct Meetings

Prior to each round of voting, a player will have the opportunity to have multiple one-on-one meetings with another character. These Meetings are the only time a player can discuss or share information with another player. During the Meeting, regardless of whether a player is innocent or is the murderer, players can choose to lie or tell the truth about anything. Players need good observation skills, attention to detail, and an ability to decipher motives, alibis, and suspicious behavior.

4. Voting/Accusing

During the voting period, each character votes in private on their digital voting card for who they think is the murderer. The vote tally is 100% computerized, and in every round, the innocent character with the most votes will be eliminated unless that character correctly votes for the murderer in that round.

5. Utilizing Clues

The game strategy accelerates by the distribution of clues to participants. A clue could be information from the police investigation, the autopsy results, the deceased’s will, the deceased’s diary, or observations from the day or days leading up to the murder.

6. Game’s Conclusion

The A Killer Technology game ends when all remaining innocent characters vote for the murderer, or only the murderer and one innocent character remain.

With most mystery games the host must run the game. With A Killer Technology, our automated system runs the game, and the host can fully participate as a player. So what are you waiting for? I loved how it wasn’t too scripted so you have some freedom and have to actually figure out who the killer is. The voting concept to guess who the killer is was a fun twist and added a new aspect to the usual murder mystery games. I will definitely be playing more of their games!

These games from Mystery Enterprises are super entertaining. We have participated in a couple of the games “Hollywood Homicide” and “A Killer Technology”. They are great for parties or small gatherings. The interactive nature of the games, including online voting and sharing of the results, provides great ways to connect with friends and for meeting new people. The murder scenarios are high level and thought provoking where people can extrapolate from their own life experiences with everyday activities incorporated into the dialogues. Sometimes the answer to “who done it” is shockingly so obvious that when it is revealed you can’t believe you missed it! All in all these games are the best! I highly recommend you check them out.
